The Civil Guard requests collaboration to locate and identify other national and foreign women captured by video recordings
The events took place between 2010 and 2020 in the municipality of Mogán during the practice of a professional massage.
The actions and analysis of the videos intercepted in the two spy cameras installed in the center revealed that the investigated person spent more than a decade sexually abusing women taking advantage of his profession as a masseuse.
The Judicial Police Team of the Civil Guard of Puerto Rico - Mogán, within the framework of Operation Kurnia, has proceeded to investigate a 59-year-old German citizen for the commission of 7 crimes of sexual abuse and against privacy , by running a massage parlor located in the town of Patalavaca-Mogán (Las Palmas) that he used as a means to take advantage of his clients by touching them and/or recording them with hidden cameras for more than a decade (2005 to 2020).
Start and development of research
The investigation began in February 2020, following a complaint by the mother of a 15-year-old girl, in which she reported alleged sexual abuse while she was being massaged, without In the first instance, there was no physical evidence that directly demonstrated the commission of these sexual abuses.
However, the Civil Guard went to the Massage Center of the person under investigation to carry out the first verifications of the crime, discovering that in the massage room where the alleged sexual abuse occurred there was a spy camera in operation that recorded the area of the stretcher. .
As a result of the technical visual inspection and search of the public establishment, the investigators intervened all the devices suspected of hosting videos and images of their victims, also detecting a second device with a hidden camera.
In the development of the investigation, the Civil Guard carried out the study and forensic analysis of the memory devices, in which up to 82 video files were found, containing recordings of about 20 naked women receiving massages from the investigated person, however in The overall study of the images showed that the women were not aware that they were being recorded with hidden cameras.
As a result of the investigation, the Civil Guard would verify that the person under investigation had been running a massage center in a tourist and residential complex in the town of Patalavaca-Mogán (Las Palmas) for more than a decade, having a large portfolio of clients of national origin and foreign.
Location of new victims
The Civil Guard requested collaboration with the German police authorities in which a case of a German victim dating back to 2005 would be discovered.
In addition, the different investigations over time led the investigators to identify three women, a minor girl and two adults, who had been recorded naked with spy cameras without their consent between the years 2019 to 2020, finding out that the minor girl and an adult woman had been victims of sexual abuse while performing the massages, amounting to a total of four victims, expanding the criminal charges of the investigated. The Investigative Court number 1 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana would decree his entry into prison without bail.

The Civil Guard continues to analyze the images in order to locate and identify other women captured by the video recordings. It is for this reason that the collaboration of citizens is requested, and especially of national and/or foreign women who may have been victims of unreported sexual abuse in the municipality of Mogán (Las Palmas) in the practice of a professional massage. and/or suspect that they may have been recorded without their consent between the period from 2010 to 2020.
