Viera was in charge of listing the planned events, starting with the proclamation on August 5 by the young musician and soloist Luzmila Valerón, and the concert by Benito Cabrera. Meeting of boleros, nights with DJs, children's and senior parties, audiovisual projections, zanga tournament, musical and comedy shows will take place over the following days until reaching the eve of the Virgin's Day, August 14 , and the celebration, after a two-year hiatus, of the traditional Pilgrimage-Ofrenda to which 10 groups have joined. On the main day there will be a market, a livestock fair-exhibition, a mass and a procession, as well as a popular toast and festival of the soljero with Pepe Benavente, and in the afternoon enjoy a cart race and the Zonal Festival of the AFC Guayadeque de Carrizal. The events planned for San Roque were also brought forward, with the festivities later moving to Playa del Burrero in San Haragán with cinema, concerts, sports activities, children's entertainment and a popular barbecue from August 24 to 28. In short, they are “fairly distributed events: for youth, older people, folklore lovers, for everyone, and I hope that the park and the square are full of people and that we know how to have healthy fun,” concluded Pepín Viera.
The Councilor for Celebrations, Lorena Quintana, highlighted how “August, in Carrizal, is synonymous with parties and meetings” and how “a very varied program” has been prepared for this year, also announcing the novelty of the installation of a tent in the Parque del Buen Suceso to “feel more protected.” She invited the entire population to participate "in this programming that we have prepared with great love and we thank once again the Bicentennial Board of the Virgin for the joint work carried out." She ended by encouraging citizens to follow municipal networks and media to be aware of all activities.
Mayor Ana Hernández praised the endearing photography that makes up the poster for this year's festivities with which "we return to the street and Carrizal dresses up to meet again." “It is a high-quality program with so many activities that they will have no problem deciding where to go in August, because they know that they have a date with the Carrizal festivities," she said, ending by inviting "each and every one of the events." ”.
