A crowd of Tunte devotees gathered this Saturday in the pine forest of the Hermitage of Santiago to celebrate the holy mass after a two-year hiatus and later, to make the descent of Santiago El Chico, from the Cruz Grande, to the town of Tirajana. The holy Jacobean culture that inspires the unity of the island, its cohesion and its progress, as well as the local project, now radiated a message of fraternity.
The traditional descent of Santiago El Chico has embodied and vindicated the character of a bridge between past, present and future of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. This 2022 the Camino de Santiago has once again reflected that Tunte is an intense dialogue with its time based on tolerance, respect for difference and the firm desire to unite peoples and cultures in a permanent, constructive and enriching conversation.
