Bad times for lyric. The cousin of Andrés Herrera, the legendary leader of CCN and former Tourism Minister of Gran Canaria, from Castillo del Romeral, Francisco Herrera Rodríguez, has gotten into trouble in his capacity as sole administrator of Nueva Canarias, the party that emerged in the southeast of Gran Canaria and whose leader is Román Rodríguez. The TCU report does not clarify how much is paid by the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council to the NC headquarters, but it does warn you that this behavior is reprehensible. Since 2020, Herrera Rodríguez, who is also the NC coordinator in the Gran Canaria Cabildo, has been reprimanded by the State Court of Accounts because the Nueva Canarias headquarters in Tirajana is paid for by the city council and not the party directly. The TCU has denounced that this behavior is "irregular."
