Montaña de Los Vélez celebrates its festivities this week in honor of the Holy Cross, with a program of events concentrated in the neighborhood square, from Wednesday to Sunday, which will highlight traditional games, children's attractions and popular music.
The activities will begin on Wednesday, July 27, starting at 17:00 p.m., with a session of traditional games. A little later, at 21:00 p.m., the first musical performance of the program will arrive with Mariachi Peleón. At 21:00 p.m. the Hifi Stopover will take place, with the participation of young and old people from around the neighborhood.
The busiest night will be Friday, July 29. At 22:30 p.m. the festival will begin, with the group Leyenda Joven. The music will continue into the early hours of the morning led by DJ Abián Reyes. On Saturday morning, the water playground will be installed again in the square, from 11:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. At 18:00 p.m. the religious procession will take place and at night, starting at 22:30 p.m., the second great festival of the festivities will be held, entertained on this occasion by Star Music and the Eclipse Duo.
On Sunday, the last day of celebrations, the party and dance will take place during the day. At 15:00 p.m. the foam party will take place and at 15:30 p.m. the group Kilombo Improvised will put the musical culmination to the planned program, thus culminating the big week of Montaña de Los Vélez.
