The Agüimes City Council will subsidize up to 95% of the Construction, Installations and Works Tax (ICIO), the maximum allowed by the consolidated text of the law regulating local estates, for the installation of systems for the thermal or electrical use of the solar energy in residential properties. This was approved this Monday by the Municipal Plenary Session, establishing the retroactive nature of the measure as of January 1, 2022. The bonus will also be applied ex officio by the administration, without the need for a prior request by the interested person. .
This reduction of the ICIO for the installation of solar panels in residential buildings represents a new stimulus for the energy self-consumption of homes in the municipality of Agüimes, thus encouraging greater use of renewable energy in homes and producing greater savings in the consumption of conventional energy sources. This is the second bonus contemplated by the fiscal ordinance regulating this tax in Agüimes, in addition to the already existing 50% to which newly established business projects that are declared of municipal interest can be eligible, upon request, for assuming , among other requirements, the creation of more than 10 jobs.
Agreement with the Ingenio City Council
The municipal plenary session also approved this Monday a new collaboration agreement with the City Council of Ingenio in matters of human resources for the reciprocal use of the reserve lists established in both administrations to cover their personnel needs. Under the agreement, the town councils of Agüimes and Ingenio will announce in their corresponding information and registration offices, as well as through their digital media, any call for personnel selection from both administrations that generates candidates for integration into the list of booking. Likewise, they will inform their respective employees, through their usual means.
