As of today, the Agüimes Local Police has seven new agents who will be able to join, after their mandatory period of practice and academy, in the citizen security tasks carried out by this police force. This Friday, the municipal Plenary Hall hosted the official inauguration ceremony of these new officials, in which they swore or promised to comply with and enforce the constitution, the statute of autonomy of the Canary Islands and the rest of the fundamental regulations of the State. They did so, as required, in the presence of the secretary of the City Council, Antonio Patiño, and the mayor of Agüimes, Óscar Hernández.
Also present at the event were the councilors of Local Police and Human Resources of the Agüimes City Council, Suso Trujillo and Efraín González, the head of the Local Police, Luisa González Alemán, the president of the examining board, José Luis Herrera, and a wide representation of friends and family of the new police officers. The seven agents are Aida Hernández Gutiérrez, Jéssica Hernández Martel, Jonás Estupiñán Ramírez, Airam Pulido Montero, Daniel Cabrera de Armas, Ezequiel García Gil and Juan Francisco Ramos Cordero.
The head of the Local Police congratulated them for the effort made to pass the selection tests. She reminded them of the enormous responsibility they assume as law enforcement officers and showed them all her support in the public service tasks that they will have to face from now on in the exercise of their duties. The mayor of Agüimes, for his part, welcomed them to the City Council and encouraged them to continue growing as professionals, maintaining the enthusiasm and desire that has led them to be able to put on the police uniform. Finally, he asked them for their efforts to continue building decent public services, at the level of what is expected and desired by the citizens of Agüimes.
