Mogán: Good repeats with CC for the 28M elections

The mayor of Ciuca in Mogán, Onalia Bueno, confirmed this Monday that she will compete in the 2023 elections with the initials of the Canary Coalition. The 2023 municipal elections will be held in the Canary Islands on Sunday, May 28, in accordance with the Royal Decree calling for local elections in Spain and published in the Official State Gazette.

Well, in this way, she sent a message of stability to officials, investors and neighbors about the institutional stability that she hopes to consolidate until 2027 after coming to power in 2015. This graduate in Politics from the University of Granada in 2000 worked between 2008 and 2010 as a political consultant in Honduras and in Washington she served as a political consultant on a project for the International Development Bank (IDB).

In 2020 she was arrested because the judicial authorities are analyzing various service purchase operations in Mogán. She has attributed this arrest for alleged vote buying in the 2015 and 2019 local elections to having "shame" the State for the situation of the migrants crowded at the Arguineguín Dock for weeks in 2020.
