This Saturday at around 23:54 p.m. yesterday, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting the accident of a person on the GC-501 highway, municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
A 39-year-old man who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented a serious head injury, was transferred in a medical ambulance from the SUC to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources from the Canario Emergency Department (SUC) with a medicalized ambulance, another sanitized ambulance, and a third basic life support ambulance. The Civil Guard instructed the corresponding procedures and the Local Police collaborated with the emergency services.
