Knowledge of the facts

The police investigation began last April following various neighborhood complaints, which reported a constant movement of drug addicts heading to two homes located in the Balos neighborhood (Neighborhood).

Start and development of research

After verifying the veracity of these complaints and the result of extensive investigative work by members of the investigation area of the Neighborhood Civil Guard, the police operation begins with the pertinent steps to locate the alleged perpetrators of the criminal acts. and their corresponding homes.

The Civil Guard, in the exercise of its functions, carries out the appropriate investigations with surveillance and monitoring, and can verify that one of those investigated was not only in charge of periodically supplying the other home, but also traveled in his private vehicle to various homes located by the entire municipality, in order to provide them with the drugs for later sale.

Likewise, after several months of investigations, it was possible to identify up to four more homes to which this person supplied the drugs so that they could carry out the work of selling their merchandise. Therefore, the leader of the criminal group carried out the sale at home and in his absence used his brother-in-law, who was a minor, to prevent the business from stopping.

Entry and Registration

Due to the indications and evidence that were detected and by obtaining sufficient suspicions about the location of possible drug sales points in several homes, judicial authorization was requested to proceed with the corresponding entries and searches, with a total of seven.

Therefore, in the early hours of August 13, a large police deployment was carried out, where various narcotic substances were seized, proceeding to carry out the narcotest on the contents of the packaging found, yielding a positive result in cocaine, hashish and amphetamine.

Consequently, officers seized 9,5 kg of hashish, 76 grams of cocaine, 55,5 grams of marijuana, 21 grams of hashish pollen, 113 pills and minor quantities of MDMA and amphetamines. 1.733 euros in divided bills of various values were also found, in addition to knives, a taser, and different tools for weighing and handling narcotic substances.

It should be noted that although the leader of the criminal group had no known job, this person owned several vehicles and boats, enjoying stays in four-star hotels with members of his family.

The detainees, together with the procedures carried out for this purpose, were placed at the disposal of the acting Court of Guard of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, meaning that the intervened substances will be sent to the Functional Health Area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, so that they can proceed to weighing. analysis and study of it.
