Of the more than 30 million remainders available at the beginning of the legislature, half a million remains today.
The Popular Party of Mogán has issued a statement showing its concern about the economic uncertainty that the council is going through. The popular parties have pointed out that to the 15,5 million euros that will be arranged through a bank loan to cover the payment of several land expropriations, a new loan operation for another 3 million can now be added to cover the payment. of the price revisions of the defunct garbage contract.
In this sense, the spokesperson for the popular parties, Maicol Santana, showed his disagreement in the past ordinary plenary session, stating that this new credit operation seeks to liquidate the company for around 3 million euros, an amount that contradicts the criteria that was included in the report prepared by the previous municipal auditor, Mr. Francisco de Haro, dated June 24, 2016, which repaired the price review for the period 01/01/2009 to 31/12/2014, arguing that the criteria that They have been applied to price reviews since 1993, they are harmful to municipal interests, and clearly beneficial to the company, concluding that it was essential to deviate from the criteria followed in the previous review carried out in 2009.
For the popular ones, this new financial operation greatly compromises the city council's margin of action to deal with possible unforeseen events that may arise in these months remaining until the end of the year. This point has been pointed out by the current municipal auditor in one of the reports that accompanied the aforementioned file and in which it was indicated that Managers must be willing to make an effort to reduce expenses and the volume of uncommitted investments.
Maicol Santana pointed out in the plenary session that they do not intend to be alarmist but we do demand that in the face of this situation and the negative evolution towards which the national economy is tending, the government group must act with due rigor so that municipal public services and development of investments continues to be guaranteed in the future.
