Health organizes workshops on health and physiotherapy for patients and professionals in the southeast

 

The Primary Care Management of the Health Area of ​​Gran Canaria, attached to the Ministry of Health, celebrates World Physiotherapy Day, which is commemorated every September 8 with a series of workshops aimed at improving the quality of life and well-being of patients, users and professionals assigned to the Vecindario and Agüimes health centers, as well as the El Doctoral Specialized Care Center.

 

In order to adapt the activities to all participants, the scheduled workshops will be distributed over two different days, on September 6 and 7, at the Neighborhood Health Center in small groups of participants.

 

The event on Tuesday, September 6, will be aimed at pregnant users and patients. Thus, the first activity will be a childbirth preparation session in which pregnant women over twenty-six weeks can register. It will be from 10.00:12.30 am. Later, at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., a postpartum workshop will take place. Both activities will take place in the Maternity Room of the Neighborhood Health Center.

 

The next day, September 7, the day will feature the workshop-talks Chronic pain and therapeutic exercise, starting at 08.30:10.00; Prevention of falls, at 12.00:XNUMX, and Transfers in dependent patients, at XNUMX:XNUMX. Both users and staff of the Basic Neighborhood Health Zone may participate in these activities.

 

Finally, the afternoon of Wednesday the 7th will be dedicated to the professional team of the Basic Neighborhood Health Zone. Thus, at 13.30:14.00 p.m. there will be a therapeutic exercise on osteoarthritis aimed at healthcare personnel and at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. a therapeutic exercise masterclass in which SCS professionals of any category can participate.
