The south of Gran Canaria can boast of having many festivities with which to brighten its streets and welcome people who come to visit the destination, but there are few that infect so many areas of Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés as the arrival of Christmas. During all these festivals, lights of all colors flood the city. From the end of November (and until Three Kings Day), streets, squares and buildings will be illuminated with lamps that meet the strictest requirements for respect for the environment and energy efficiency, illuminating more but consuming less.
The Maspalomas Gran Canaria Consortium has carried out this summer the service in the second extension of the contract whose purpose is the supply, in the rental, of the set of ornamental luminous elements, with Christmas motifs, which will form the Christmas lighting of the municipality at Christmas from 2022 to 2023. This closes the purchase process, which has had a budget of up to 971.767 euros.
This renewed contract for the company Morales Iluminación includes the assembly, commissioning, conservation and maintenance of the installed elements and their subsequent disassembly and removal. In addition, it includes the execution of all the necessary connections, as well as the drafting and processing of permits, including the complete necessary electrical installations of lighting and power, low voltage networks, to feed the electrical connections, individual branches and control and distribution panels that they require.
