Coinciding with the International Day of the Elderly, the Mogán City Council organizes on Saturday, October 1, the 'Senior Meeting', an event that will take place in the Pérez Galdós square in Arguineguín for the municipality's veterans, who will be able to enjoy a fun day of coexistence. The registration period for interested people is open until September 27.
“After two years of hiatus, we are having the 'Senior Meeting' again,” said the Councilor for Social Policy, Tania Alonso, also calling for the participation of residents. This activity, she assures, will be “a very special reunion for everyone after so long without being able to celebrate it” due to the health crisis.
The 'Senior Meeting' will take place between 12:00 and 18:00, beginning with the reception in the permanent tent in Plaza Pérez Galdós in Arguineguín for the elderly, who will undoubtedly be the protagonists from beginning to end. At the venue they will find an exhibition and play bingo, being able to win surprise prizes thanks to the collaboration of several companies. There will also be a photocall, entertainment and a lunch that will consist of a grill of fresh fish and other delicacies.
The day will conclude with “a special performance, which I imagine you will like, because Pepe Benavamente, a reference for fun among older people, returns to our municipality,” he indicated.
The City Council provides a free transportation service to facilitate the transfer to Plaza Pérez Galdós and back to the respective neighborhoods. The buses will depart from Veneguera, the town of Mogán, Barranco de Mogán, Playa de Mogán, Soria, Barranquillo Andrés, Playa del Cura and Tauro, Puerto Rico and Motor Grande.
