The recreational-sports activity 'Family Jumping Ingenio' returns to the municipality after the great participation success obtained in its first edition. Sport merges with bouncy castles and games in this intergenerational practice that will take place on September 24 at the Toril Municipal Soccer Field starting at 10 a.m. Anyone who wants to have a good time can participate in 'Family Jumping'. You must complete, as a couple (made up of an adult and a minor), a circuit in which you will have to overcome around twenty obstacles.
The mayor of Villa de Ingenio, Ana Hernández, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Mario Ramírez, and the promoter of the activity and head of the animation company Damasi SCP, David Rodríguez Galván, presented this morning the details of this test " whose main basis is family fun and which can well be a metaphor for life: being united as a family to face the problems that we encounter along the way,” stated the mayor.
“From this test I am left with that shared effort and the desire for fun that the participating people show. The Ingenio City Council will always be there to promote sport in any of its forms because we understand that sport is health, and we want a healthy society with enough strength to overcome obstacles,” added Ana Hernández.
The Sports Councilor, for his part, also wanted to highlight the family and intergenerational nature of this activity, while recalling that, despite the fact that in the first edition registrations had to be restricted due to the pandemic, the test was everything a success and, therefore, “we are going to repeat it, ensuring that this second edition is also in Ingenio. Surely those people who participated in the first one will return because it has been a demand from the citizens, which we have also improved, with new surprises,” Ramírez said.
The promoter, David Rodríguez, after thanking the Ingenio City Council for opening the doors for another year to develop these tests “that come from our hearts,” hoped to break participation records in this second edition and reach 250 registered couples. “The test is very simple, very fun. There are two kilometers that you can walk, run or crawl, as you like, to do as a family, but also in groups of classmates, friends, who in the end have a great time, because they help each other, bother each other, play... and The normal thing is that they want to repeat,” commented the organizer. Regarding the sports part, he explained that “modalities such as hockey, basketball, soccer, climbing, athletics are covered, in a simple way as a first step to introduce boys and girls to the world of sports.”
