The Mogán City Council, through the Employment and Local Development Agency (AEDL), makes four courses related to the construction sector available to unemployed people in the municipality. They will all teach in October at no cost. Places are limited.

“From the City Council we are committed to training as an essential tool to make one's way into the world of work,” says the councilor of AEDL, Training and Employment, Tania Alonso, emphasizing the importance of “providing neighbors with courses with which to improve their skills and their curriculum”, as considered to be the case of those offered by the Employment and Local Development Agency.

Unemployed people can opt for the 20-hour course to obtain the Professional Construction Card (TPC) for Masonry, which certifies having the necessary knowledge in occupational risk prevention in the different phases of a work and complementary training in masonry. This will be taught on October 14, 17, 18 and 20. The TPC Painting course is also available, which also consists of 20 hours distributed between October 14, 17, 18 and 21. Both are essential to be able to work in the corresponding branches of the construction sector.

Each of these training actions has 20 places, with the average cost per student being 150 euros –200 euros in the case of the locksmith course–, an amount that in no case will the people who register have to contribute, given that the City Council covers the costs. The four courses will be taught on the ground floor of the David Jiménez Silva Sports Center, Arguineguín.
