The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Puerto Rico, Mogán in Gran Canaria, within the framework of Operation Submersible investigated three people and arrested one person, all of them between the ages of 28 and 34, with a record of various crimes, the investigated as alleged perpetrators of a crime of theft with force of things, and the person arrested for a judicial complaint, when accessing an establishment by forcing the main door, breaking the lock cylinder and thus being able to steal the safe in the that there was cash and electronic devices valued at 30.000 euros, in the municipality of Mogán.

 

Knowledge of the facts:

 

The Civil Guard learned on August 1, 2021 following a complaint filed by one of the main companies dedicated to the nautical tourist leisure sector in the south of Gran Canaria, who accessed its establishment by forcing the main access through the use of tools with which they managed to break the lock cylinder, perpetrating the theft of a safe, which contained the establishment's proceeds, as well as various electronic material, valuing all this at approximately 30.000 euros.

 

The Civil Guard carried out the appropriate investigations and investigations to locate the alleged perpetrators of the criminal act, so the agents in charge of them began to collect various evidence of the commission of the act, such as security recordings of the establishment and nearby hotels, obtaining that the alleged perpetrators corresponded to three young men highly specialized in the commission of this type of crimes, since they almost completely covered their bodies with dark clothing and used masks or balaclavas to hide their faces, and it can be verified that they They used electronic devices to inhibit the existing alarm in the establishment.

 

Investigation and investigations collected:

 

A laborious investigation was initiated in which computer and technical means of data analysis have been used that have allowed the identification of the alleged perpetrators and their modus operandi, obtaining evidence that they carried out surveillance at the company's establishment. prior to the commission of the criminal act.

 

Furthermore, the perpetrators of the events that occurred traveled to other islands with documentation in the name of third parties to continue with their criminal activity and avoid detection, thus distracting the Civil Guard for their identification.

 

Once the police report is completed, the proceedings are handed over to the Investigative Court of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, which has overseen the investigations.
