Meeting Point Spain celebrates its tenth anniversary of existence in Maspalomas

 

A decade of deep guest engagement and destination management is certainly cause for celebration.

On October 13, the incoming agency Meeting Point Spain celebrated 10 years of existence in the Canary Islands. The agency entered the local market by opening its first office at the end of 2012. Since then, the company has been growing and was joined by Meeting Point Hotel Management Canaries in 2015. The DMC jubilee was celebrated with an opening event for the new office in the capital Gran Canaria with employees and important personalities from the tourism, financial and political sectors. "On this special day I have to point out clearly, that the success of the last decade in all the Canary Islands is only possible thanks to great effort and team spirit," says Meeting Point Spain CEO Venancio Lorente at the cutting ceremony of tape and reflects: "It is true that we have gone through difficult times, especially if we look at the last two years. But, on the other hand, these challenges have shown us new ways to do better and have driven us to grow in the market, and as a team. We are looking forward to the next ten years of Meeting Point Spain."

 

 

Under the new office location on Avda Juan Carlos I, Number 29, 4th Floor, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Ramblas Shopping Center, Meeting Point Hotel Management Canarias will also have its offices. To the joy of its CEO, Ángel Rivero, during the colleagues' anniversary party he highlighted: "This is an exciting step for our two teams. We have many projects in which we will collaborate closely, as with our current great project: an eco-giant. resort, consisting of five hotels in Jandía, Fuerteventura. The opening of this complex will allow us to employ more staff, welcome more guests and grow the tourism sector on the islands. We are looking forward to further strengthening ties with our DMC colleagues in our new headquarters." The central location of the new offices will facilitate collaboration with various partners from the islands and abroad.

 

After the opening speeches by Lorente and Rivero, the guests were shown the new office premises before meeting for a cocktail aperitif on the terrace of the new building with musical accompaniment. Among the attendees were political figures, financial institutions as well as important figures from the tourism sector from DER Tourisik, Jet2 Holidays, TUI, booking.com and Expedia. As a special surprise, both CEOs organized a raffle with the main prize of a two-night stay for two people at two Meeting Point Hotels Spain resorts and an excursion provided by the DMC.
