The Emergency Department of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council will have, for the first time in its history, a Vehicle for an Advanced Command Post (PMA), which will be used as a management, coordination and direction point for emergencies of different natures.
This staff would intervene in those emergencies in which it is necessary to activate the PEMU (Municipal Emergency Plan), and it is the Advanced Command Post (PMA) where the Tactical Command of the Intervention is located and the link point between the operational teams and the CECOP (Operational Coordination Center).
"That our municipality has this resource constitutes a major qualitative advance that will guarantee the implementation and coordination of all the emergency services involved, in the shortest possible time, in the face of a risk situation for the population, the environment or property. materials,” highlighted Mayor Conchi Narváez.
The WFP would therefore be established in a place close to the emergency, for the purpose of better control and coordination of troops and actions in the affected areas.
The PMA will be made up of the top officials of the Action Groups involved in the emergency.
The resources contemplated in an Advanced Command Post are all those human and material elements that are incorporated into the action groups in the face of an emergency and that allow the tasks considered for the actions to be faced with greater efficiency, until the resolution of the problem. the emergency.
For his part, for the emergency councilor, Orlando Cabrera, “San Bartolomé de Tirajana reinforces its response capacity in the event of an emergency, by being able to transfer to the operations scenario the information necessary for emergency management, from the point of view of planning, logistics, management and communication.
A smart van
The vehicle is a coachbuilt van that serves as a meeting place and meeting point for those responsible for making decisions. It has the capacity to transport a staff of one driver plus four crew members, and is functionally divided into three
compartments: Driving area, Emergency coordination and management area and Cargo area.
It has various communications systems, with radio stations connected to a switching matrix that in turn has GSM lines; telephone switchboard.
The technological equipment is also composed of a computer system with computers; audiovisual system with terrestrial and satellite television signals; surveillance camera and projection, through a video matrix, on plasma screens that the vehicle has.
It also has an electrical supply through an uninterruptible power supply system and its own current generating equipment.
