On October 03, the Civil Guard of the Main Post of Agüimes arrested a 34-year-old man with numerous police records for the crime of theft with force and a crime of fraud. On the other hand, during the month of September, a brother of the detainee and his ex-wife, both 37 years old with criminal records, were investigated for the same events as alleged perpetrators of the same crimes. Therefore, in the exercise of their duties, the agents found more than enough merit to attribute to them the theft of a large number of musical instruments, speakers and other effects from inside the social premises, which is used by a musical group dedicated especially to percussion. , and who also taught classes both to students of the Agüimes Municipal Music School and to members of some murgas in the municipality.

The Civil Guard was made aware of the complaint filed on July 29 by the representative of the musical group, in which it was reported that they had torn off and removed the aluminum bars from the windows of the rehearsal space, and that after accessing Inside it, they also stole a large quantity of musical effects and instruments, drums, bass drums, djembe, drumsticks, cowbells, shoulder pads and harnesses, as well as audio equipment, a laptop and a projector, valued at more than 5.000 euros.
Start of the investigation
The Agüimes Civil Guard Investigation Area Agents began the appropriate investigation proceedings to clarify the facts, collecting all types of evidence to locate and recover the vast majority of the stolen instruments and effects. Furthermore, once the appropriate investigations and investigations were carried out, the investigators were able to verify that the stolen musical material had been sold in an establishment for the purchase and sale of second-hand objects, leading to the crime of fraud in said sale. The alleged perpetrators of the events, when formalizing the sale, caused sufficient deception to carry out their mission, and make it appear that they were the legitimate owners of the same and thereby cause economic damage to the establishment.
In the development of the investigation, the Civil Guard carried out an in-depth analysis of the recordings of the security cameras collected, in which it was possible to link the criminal act to a car as a vehicle used for this purpose, owned by one of the alleged authors.
Finally, in relation to the rest of the efforts carried out by the agents, it was possible to locate in a scrap metal and metal recovery company in the municipality of Telde, a sale of aluminum scraps coinciding with the dismantling of the bars that had been stolen from the window of the local. Likewise, one of those involved reached an agreement with his ex-wife to formalize the sale of the material stolen from said establishment.
The proceedings carried out for this purpose were sent to the Investigating Court acting as guard of the Telde courts.
