Socomtaxi increases its commitment to the automation of services with PideTaxi, an app that aims to facilitate the service to users and relax the workload in the centers
The Taxi Marketing Society of Gran Canaria (Socomtaxi) has taken another step in the automation of its services with PideTaxi, a free app that aims to make it easier for the user to contract a service. The app does not charge any commission or extra charge for its use, the client only pays for the race.
PideTaxi uses geolocation services to facilitate the driver's location of the client, as well as to allow the vehicle to be tracked to the meeting point during the wait. The download via QR code and a fairly intuitive interface, which even allows you to consult a history of the requested services, make the app a very attractive option for any user who needs Socomtaxi services.

But the sector itself also benefits from these services. As José Bordón, president of Socomtaxi, comments, PideTaxi will make it possible, among other things, to reduce the workload received by the cooperative centers, thus allowing for reduced waits for calls when requesting a taxi. This will also make the work of the operators easier; Four people work per shift at the Socomtaxi headquarters and receive an average of 600 calls per day, reaching up to 800 per day on special occasions, according to José.
José Bordón himself, together with representatives of Socomtaxi, offered exclusively to Maspalomas24h a demonstration on the management of the PideTaxi service from the company headquarters. A software-based service Alfa 6.0, the most cutting-edge to date in fleet management. This system is perfectly integrated into the Socomtaxi offices, which further facilitates the proper development of the application service in the municipalities in which the company operates: Mogán, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Agüimes, Ingenio and Telde.

José Bordón stressed his commitment to automating the taxi sector, expressing satisfaction and confidence that the implementation of the app will help meet his objectives. According to the data provided by Socomtaxi, the average number of annual services dispatched only in Maspalomas amounts to more than half a million, of which a 65 % They are automated. José tells us that these figures are due to another automation service called Click Taxi, a service present in the receptions of hotels and apartments in the main tourist areas of Gran Canaria and that allows the contracting of a service without having to call the headquarters. The president's forecast is that, with the implementation of PideTaxi, that 65% increase up to 90%
