The First Section of the Provincial Court of Palma has handed down a sentence in which it condemns the Ruiz-Mateos brothers to more than 37 years in prison between them and to pay millionaire compensation for a crime of aggravated fraud and a crime of confiscation of assets. in relation to the purchase and sale of two Beverly hotels, one in Paguera and the other in Maspalomas, now owned by Pérez Moreno.
The ruling, to which Maspalomas24H has had access, stipulates that in terms of civil liability, the accused, jointly and severally, must compensate the injured parties with a total of 46.457.346,6 euros. On the other hand, the Court rejects the compensation claims directed against the companies Euromontajes Guipuzcua SL, Promotoria Holding 36 BV, Cala Pins SL, Soluciones Comerciales Trapa SL and Chocolates Elgorriaga SL. In the resolution, the court deduces testimony from the statement of the witness Joaquín Yvancos, in case it could constitute a crime of false testimony in a criminal case. The sentence is not final, an appeal is possible before the Supreme Court.
As stated in the ruling, the court acquits them of the crime of falsifying documents of which they were accused by two of the private accusations. Specifically, the court sentences Álvaro Ruiz-Mateos to a total sentence of six years and five months in prison; plus a fine of 3.000 euros per month for eleven months; and another fine of 3.000 euros per month for seventeen months.
The court sentences Zoilo Ruiz-Mateos to five years and 11 months in prison; plus a fine to pay 3.000 euros per month for nine months; and another fine of 3.000 euros per month for fifteen months. The Chamber also sentences Francisco Javier Ruiz-Mateos to six years and six months in prison; plus a fine of 3.000 euros per month for eleven months; and another penalty of fine to pay 3.000 euros per month in eighteen months.
Just as they have sentenced Alfonso Ruiz-Mateos to six years and five months in prison; plus a fine to pay 3.000 euros per month for eleven months; and another fine to pay 3.000 euros per month in seventeen months. In addition, the sentence also condemns Pablo Ruiz-Mateos to six years and four months in prison; plus a fine to pay 3.000 euros per month for eleven months; and another fine of 3.000 euros per month for sixteen months.
