On its second day, the Southeast Fair repeats the successful attendance of residents of the municipalities that make up the southeast region who do not want to miss the gastronomic and artisan offering of 150 stalls that display their products on Avenida de Canarias, in Neighborhood.

The main attraction of this second day, marked by the sun and good weather, was the tent prepared for various showcookings where chefs from the island have shared their secrets to prepare recipes with Canarian products such as fresh fish, Tenefé salt, sauces, dressings, the use of cheese to give an avant-garde touch to certain dishes, oil, and of course, the delicious pastries from this area of Gran Canaria.

There was also room for tasting island wines, paired with cheeses made in the area, many of them awarded with the most prestigious world awards.

The parties accompanied the attendees throughout the morning, enlivening an already festive atmosphere, where children and adults enjoyed this fair, which has already become a benchmark in Gran Canaria and which with this edition celebrates its eighteenth anniversary.

As recalled by the president of the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Southeast and mayor of Ingenio, Ana Hernández; and the mayors of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, also host on this occasion, Francisco García; and from Agüimes, Óscar Hernández, during this weekend it is expected that nearly 100.000 people will come to this space to enjoy leisure, music, tradition and the culture of the land.

This event is repeated twice in the same year in support of artisans, ranchers and farmers who during the pandemic were not able to show their offerings to the public. This year's two celebrations therefore have the objective of recovering the lost rhythm.
