For the first time in its history, the Mogán City Council has decorated the municipality's Local Police officers for their 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of Dedication to Police Service. Likewise, he has recognized the work of the retired and deceased police officers of the Mogán Corps, and the Mogán Civil Protection Volunteer Group. He did so on the afternoon of Friday, November 4, in an institutional event held after mass in honor of the Holy Guardian Angels, patron saint of the State Security Corps.

The Eucharist took place in the Church of Our Lady of Carmen in Arguineguín and then the institutional ceremony began under the permanent tent located in the town's Pérez Galdós square. There the mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno, presented the distinctions, starting with the police officers who had already died, 8 in total. In memory and remembrance of her bravery, effort, dedication and dedication in very complex times, either her wives or her older children collected the commemorative plaques.

Special recognition to the volunteer leader of the Group, Wenceslao Hernández, who highlighted his responsibility and ability to manage emergencies, and his human, vocational and professional contribution to citizen protection.

Likewise, a commemorative plaque was presented, for their generosity and altruism during the COVID_19 health crisis, to Juan Ricardo Álvarez Sánchez from Atlantic Clinic, to Lopesan Agricola Tabaibal SA, Laudelina Saavedra Montesdeoca from Herbolario Aquamar, Richard Kuse and José Alexis Ramírez Ortega of the CSIF Union Section.
Finally, the official and social recognition of the Moganero Corps agents' continued active service was carried out. It was made in accordance with the Order of March 19, 2015, which creates and regulates the official badges for permanence in active service in the Local Police Corps of the Canary Islands.
The authorities awarded the distinctive cross for remaining in active service for 20 years to twenty agents, the distinctive commendation for remaining in active service for 30 years to 13 police officers, and the distinctive badge for remaining in active service. for 35 years another 5.
The mayor addressed all of them, stating that she was proud to preside over an event that recognized “the professional dedication of our local police and Civil Protection, who give everything to guarantee the safety of all our neighbors and the people who visit us.” Well, she was equally proud to be able to highlight the work of all the retired agents, and even those who have already passed away. “Their families present here today deserved to receive our thanks, which we feel from the heart. Those who are no longer here, and also those who are retired, had to work in other times, undoubtedly more complex than those we now live in and that many of us who are here do not get to know,” she said.

From the Mogán Local Police Corps and Civil Protection, he stated, “they know the municipality and our people inside out.
