The twenty-fourth Tradition Days, organized by the El Mocán Folkloric and Cultural Group with the collaboration of the Mogán City Council, left a beautiful image last night in the Sarmiento y Coto square, which was dressed in celebration with the Taifa Dance.
Last night, the Traditions Days recovered their popular Taifa Dance, which had not been held since before the pandemic. And they did it with great participation success. Traditional Canarian clothing filled the square of the historic center with color, showing off to the rhythm of the Los Pescadores de Arguineguín Folkloric Group and the Parranda Veneguera, both from the municipality of Moganero, the Cendro y Parranda El Pajullo Folkloric Group of Telde and the El Golpito Parranda , from Lanzarote.
Between malagueñas, seguidillas, polkas, isas and the countless popular songs from the Archipelago and South America that played until after midnight, attendees shared and enjoyed the delicious enyesques they brought. Among those present, the accidental Councilor for Culture, Consuelo Díaz, the Councilor for Celebrations, Víctor Gutiérrez, the Councilor for Sports, Luis Becerra, and the Councilor for Health, Juan Carlos Ortega.
The XXIV Days of Traditions thus concluded a program that began last November 1 with the Night of Finaos and that on Friday the 4th held a round table focused on traditional Canarian gastronomy on holidays.
