The tourism promoter Lopesan expressed its confidence in the Canarian and Dominican Republic market at the World Travel Market in London with the idea of growing sustainably until it recovers the growth rate due to the extra costs of the Ukraine war in the industry, a situation that affects the entire sector. The commercial director of Lopesan Hotel Group, José Alba, said this Monday at the World Travel Market in Cope that "Lopesan Hotel Group is a benchmark in tourist destinations in the Canary Islands and a good representative of the wonders of the archipelago" and that in the islands " "There is a lack of more investment and more regulatory flexibility (...). We must encourage entrepreneurs who have luxury ideas and do not pose a threat to have more facilities to turn that idea into a reality." In Ser Las Palmas in London Alba said that there is "tourist paralysis" in San Bartolomé de Tirajana: "There are four plots of land in Meloneras that are the same as they were 20 years ago."

Lopesan aims to have a share capital of 2024 million euros divided into 128,7 shares before the end of 49.500.000. The company's board of directors hopes to reach this figure with the issuance of 27,5 million shares for a value of 64.350.000 euros before July 2024. In order to reach that level of financial solvency, the hotel and construction conglomerate leader in the Canary Islands that emerged 50 years ago does not rule out doing it in several phases until it reaches its objective of 64,3 million euros.

A Lopesan source told Maspalomas24H that in the event of successive capital increases against cashless contributions, it is planned to deliver "new shares as consideration in the context of company mergers or company acquisitions." In any case, these capital increases are limited to 10% among current shareholders. For outsiders who opt, Lopesan will remain protected in the hands of the López family: 5%.
