The perpetrator threatened the person responsible for the cash register and collection with a knife in his hand.

The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Agüimes, in Gran Canaria, on October 03 arrested a 37-year-old man with a record as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with intimidation in a recreational hall, for threatening the worker of a casino with a punch and stabbing him with a knife if he did not let him escape with the loot of 6.250 euros, in the municipality of Agüimes.

Knowledge of the facts:

The Civil Guard learned of the events on September 22, when the author entered the establishment at night dressed with plastic bags over his head, hands and legs so as not to be recognized, wielding a kitchen knife in his left hand, heading directly towards the cabin where the worker was with the cash and collection.

The perpetrator entered the cabin, cornered the worker against a corner and threatened to punch her, pushed her to the side and opened the slot machine collection box, stealing the 6.250 euros.

Furthermore, during the escape the perpetrator threatened to stab the worker with the knife if she did not open the cabin door, successfully managing to leave the premises with his loot.

For all this, the Civil Guard began the corresponding investigation based on the study and management of the images, among others, that would lead the agents to identify the author, concluding that he was playing slot machines throughout the afternoon, specifically in the most close to the cabin to be able to observe all the movements that the worker made and carry out exhaustive surveillance of what she was doing at all times, after being left alone as a customer in the premises and without money, he took advantage of the fact that the employee left the cabin to try to enter in it, finally giving up when he could be surprised, so he left the establishment and returned an hour and a quarter later covered in plastic bags and a characteristic jacket, at which time he carried out the robbery successfully.

The proceedings carried out together with the detainee were sent to the Telde Investigative Court, on guard duty, ordering his immediate entry into preventive detention.
