Ángel Víctor Torres, announces an agreement for the stabilization of 3.499 public employment places in the Archipelago

 

Last Saturday the president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, closed the 1st National Congress of qualified national officials in Maspalomas. An event in which the highest official representatives of the local Administration in Spain have participated.  

 

María Concepción Narváez, mayor of the Villa de San Bartolomé de Tirajana, and Francisco García, mayor of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, hosts of this Congress, also participated in the closing ceremony. 

 

 

During his closing speech, the president stressed his coordination with city councils and councils to offer more stability to his workforce. Ángel Víctor Torres announced that last April the negotiation table was established with Fecai, Fecam and the main union forces to work on reducing the high degree of temporary employment that affects employees of the archipelago: “Yesterday in the Government Council of the Canary Islands, we authorized the agreements that Public Administrations have reached with the unions for the stabilization of 3.499 public employment positions in the General Administration of the Autonomous Community, the call for which must occur before December 31, 2022 ”. An important agreement that has been announced to be signed next Thursday. 

 

 

El Hotel Riu Palace Maspalomas has hosted the latest presentations of this Congress, which has turned Gran Canaria into a national epicenter of analysis and debate on the challenges in the management of local corporations. 

 

 

This last day included councilors and representatives of the European Court of Auditors, the Hearing of Accounts of Argentina and International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), to talk about public sector control and technologies in international organizations.  

 

 

In addition, they have been part of this latest meeting of the local Administration: Monica Garcia Saenz, general director of Budget Stability and Territorial Financial Management of the Ministry of Finance and Public Service; Eva Donoso, Deputy Director General of Budgetary and Financial Management EELL; María Concepción López Arias, Budget Analysis Division of the EIREF and Federico Gómez de la Riva, general secretary of the Plenary Session of the Madrid City Council. In conclusion the session the journalist and presenter Sandra Blow, She took part in a round table to reflect on the role of women in journalism and in relevant positions.
