Citizens, organizations and associations that so consider, will have until December 12 to make their contributions.

The City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, through its Department of Coastal Attention and Care, has put out to public consultation the modification of the current municipal ordinance regulating the use, exploitation, enjoyment and conservation of the municipal coastline, which was published in the electronic headquarters on November 18 and will be available until December 12.

To this end, citizens, organizations and associations that so consider, may consult the proposal through the Citizen Participation Portal on the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council website (www.maspalomas.com) and must send their opinions through the email account litoral@maspalomas.com.

The main objectives of this participatory process are:

Introduction into the Ordinance the prohibition of the consumption of tobacco and heated tobacco as well as the so-called “electronic cigarettes” in certain areas of the municipality's beaches.

 - Creation of “dog beaches”.

- Modification of art. 14º of the Ordinance in relation to recreational angling from the surface.

- Introduction in the Ordinance of a procedure for the management of the arrivals of phanerogam, algae and other marine plants on the coast.

- Modification of Title XII of the Ordinance (Sanctioning Regime and Infractions).
