The CC candidate for mayor of the south of Gran Canaria, Alejandro Marichal, has managed in less than a week to rise from the opposition through the zombie congress of two officials from the Ministry of Finance and which has cost 500.000 euros through a negotiation without publicity. In Santa Lucía de Tirajana CC has requested a meeting of the pact table to study the possible breakup of the government coalition. There was at least one magistrate at the celebrations. The organization of the First Congress of Local Administration and Officials with National Qualification paid for by a public TV network via the town councils of San Bartolomé and Santa Lucía de Tirajana, has already affected the local government group where Nueva Canarias has stated: "we do not agree ".

For its part, Nueva Canarias, a member of the PSOE in the south of Gran Canaria, has distanced itself from the purchases although it has not decided to leave the government group. If NC leaves the local coalition, it would leave the power of the PSOE in the hands of a CC turncoat and a Ciudadanos councilor, the one who heads the Treasury. From NC it is pointed out that the government group cannot be abandoned because details of the 2019 electoral program remain to be executed.
