Christmas arrives in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

 

In San Bartolomé de Tirajana it is already Christmas. With the lighting of all the neighborhoods of the municipality, an event held this Saturday afternoon on Avenida de Tejeda, the most familiar and emotional festivities begin.

 

With more than a thousand people as direct witnesses, Mayor Conchi Narváez flipped the switch that turned on the lighting on dates that announce the arrival of the “Christmas of recovery.” 

 

Since last Saturday and until after Three Kings, bells, stars, trees and angels in 2 dimensions, already cover the sky of the nuclei that make up San Bartolomé de Tirajana, with the brightness of 700 thousand LED bulbs.

 

 

 

The hundreds of neighbors, tourists and onlookers soon immortalized the moment of lighting by taking snapshots in front of the Christmas decorations designed in 3 dimensions. 

 

Narváez was accompanied by the councilor responsible for the Lighting Area, Bartolomé Acosta, whom she thanked for the great work carried out, which also extended to all municipal staff. Along with the councilor was the Minister of Tourism of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Carlos Álamo, as well as representatives of the different groups that make up the Corporation.

 

 

 

“We enter Christmas with all the splendor, light, warmth and color that those who live in our municipality, an international tourist destination, deserve. “This is our Christmas further south,” the mayor said, excitedly, addressing those present.

 

After inviting all citizens to experience weeks of feeling, closeness and familiarity, the concert by the Canarian singer Cristina Ramos began, who activated young and old with her characteristic rays of music and harmony.
