The entity hopes to involve public and private actors at the municipal, island and regional levels to support the actions of the SMART-ECO project in order to sign the collaboration agreement with the members.
On October 13, 2022, the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council held the first meeting of the Local Working Group, with the so-called “core” group, to present the SMART-ECO project, framed in the Interreg Program MAC, 85% co-financed by FEDER funds.
The objective of the project is to improve the digital competitiveness of the project territories, by drafting digital strategies, training companies and entrepreneurs on digital transformation, and promoting digital talent in the municipality.
The Local Working Group (GTL) will have a participatory methodology, in order to achieve the collaboration of the different areas of the City Council involved at a technical and political level, and of external agents who can contribute their own perspective that enriches the Strategy.
It is planned to hold six GTL meetings in order to review a Local Digital Economy Diagnosis and propose an action plan.
Thus, the GTL will allow the identification of the problems and needs regarding the digital transformation of the municipality, and will propose realistic and feasible solutions necessary for this change. In addition, it will allow the evaluation of the actions that the City Council is developing within the framework of the project, and will serve as support for their communication and dissemination.
