The decision of the municipal secretary of San Bartolomé de Tirajana to force the transfer of Francisca Quintana to the group of Non-Assigned in Tunte has no impact on the day-to-day municipal management. The only effect, on the councilor's salary, is that she has a high net worth and she will have to pay herself if she wants to continue arriving at the places on time. Quintana will be able to continue receiving neighbors, exercising participation with voice and vote in the Plenary, control of the governing bodies, right of access to the information necessary to carry out his position, participation in the Information Commissions and will be able to receive diets free of taxes for attendance at the sessions of the Plenary Session and the informative commissions attended. "If she goes to all of them at the same time, she has a salary for her expenses," said the same source.
The decision that "he will not be able to receive any remuneration corresponding to the exercise of positions on an exclusive or partial dedication basis, nor will he receive assignments corresponding to the municipal political groups" is due to the fact that when CC left the government group that it had with the PSOE and NC Quintana chose to stay since he interpreted that his management was outside the decisions of the government pact.
When CC formalized the move to the opposition, Quintana was left in no man's land, although with his council record. However, the measure of asking the City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana to "force Quintana to stay but without charging is more about aesthetics than anything else," said a municipal jurist, who pointed out that "CC has been at an event recent in Mogán of a political group that in 2019 was elected by other acronyms to do so now linked to CC".
