A work by Rubén Lucas García wins the competition opened by the City Council for the second consecutive year. Under the allegory 'The Great Musical', the carnivals will be celebrated in Agüimes from February 11 to March 5 of next year
The Agüimes Carnival 2023 already has its poster. The artist Rubén Lucas García has been the winner of the contest organized by the City Council to encourage the participation of creators in these festivities. With a colorful proposal full of clown-musicians in front of representative monuments of Agüimes, the poster titled 'All Together' calls on citizens to participate in next year's carnivals. They will be held from February 11 to March 5 under the allegory 'The Great Musical'.
This is the second consecutive time that Rubén Lucas García has won this contest, since in 2022 his poster also represented the Agüimes Carnival, on that occasion with the creation 'Alegría'. The prize for his victory in this year's contest is 500 euros.
The Agüimes Carnival 2023 will be dedicated to the great musicals of cinema and theater, an allegory that offers enormous possibilities to the imagination of carnival-goers, in a festival that, more than a tradition, is a true hallmark for the population of the municipality.
