The Gofiones sing 'Mexico in the Heart'

 

The folk group Los Gofiones will perform this Thursday, December 8th, at 20:30 p.m. in San Fernando Park to premiere their latest album, "México en el Corazón" (Mexico in the Heart). This performance is part of the program organized by the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, through the Department of Festivities, to add more color and participation to the Christmas celebrations.

 

 

With 54 years of existence, the Gran Canaria group will take the stage in San Fernando on Thursday to announce what represents the 23rd album of their recording career with songs by renowned artists such as José Alfredo Jiménez, Juan Gabriel, Armando Manzanero, Christian Nodal, Natalia Jiménez, etc. 

 

Those present in the San Fernando Park will be able to chant and dance to such popular songs as 'La llorona', 'Sombras', 'Yo me voy', 'México en la Piel', 'Corazón espinado', 'Me muero', 'María pretty', and many more.

 

After the celebration of its half century of existence, with its album '50 Years for You', this Thursday, the members of the outstanding island group will sing to Mexico for the hundreds of neighbors, visitors and tourists who, for sure, They will fill this space in the San Fernando Park.

 

With this concert, Los Gofiones now have more than a thousand performances on different stages in the Islands, the Peninsula and America. They have behind them 23 own albums and have collaborated in the recording of another 18 albums.
