The increase will be distributed equally between the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the University of La Laguna, so each will receive two million euros that will be used for investment, maintenance and replacement expenses for infrastructure.
The Governing Council authorized today, Wednesday, December 7, a transfer of credit from the Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports for an amount of four million euros with the purpose that both the University of La Laguna and the University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria finance investment expenses, maintenance and replacement of infrastructure.
The initiative responds to the need to process a budget modification to adapt the credits available in the budget, so that both institutions can face replacement investments in infrastructure, equipment and facilities, as well as maintenance, for which each one requested to the Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports two million euros.
