The councilor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana considers that CC has seriously violated her fundamental rights

The councilor of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, Francisca Quintana, reports that she has filed a civil lawsuit in court challenging the expulsion decreed by the Canary Coalition, “for a non-existent infraction, seriously violating her rights as a councilor and member of the party.”

Quintana has requested, as a precautionary measure, the suspension of the expulsion adopted, urging that it be declared null and void.

The councilor assures that "at no time did she receive any directive to leave the government, after the dismissal of two colleagues from her party and that at all times she acted in coherence with the commitments acquired by her political party at the beginning of the legislature."

Regarding the report of the Secretary General of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council that has been reported in the media in recent days, Quintana declares that “the Secretary issues a report at the request of the Canarian Coalition, which has not been transferred to me. . In any case, it is not the Secretary who must dictate my transfer to non-attached councilor, since this can only be adopted by plenary agreement. We will have to wait for the inclusion of his report on the Plenary agenda for debate and adoption of the appropriate agreements.

Quintana assures that he does not rule out resorting to administrative channels to appeal the point on the agenda of the plenary session and its legal consequences, an action that his lawyers are evaluating at this moment, since the lawsuit filed against the decision of his expulsion from the Canarian Coalition, includes the request for the adoption of precautionary measures, which, if agreed by the court, would produce a new situation in terms of the decisions that the plenary session had agreed regarding their situation.

“What I do want to clarify,” the councilor continues, “is that what is being spread in some media about an alleged increase in my salary for taking over the Celebrations and Events Area is absolutely false. My salary has been the same since I became part of the government group by decision of Mr. Alejandro Marichal and has not increased at any time.

What is an unquestionable fact is that, today, my commitment is to the citizens of San Bartolomé de Tirajana as Councilor for Celebrations and Events of the City Council.”
