At approximately 12:12 pm, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting that a person in cardiorespiratory arrest had been pulled from the sea in Playa del Inglés , San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
The Playa del Inglés Lifeguards assisted the victim and began practicing resuscitation maneuvers.
The staff of the SUC and the Maspalomas health center confirmed that the affected person remained in cardiorespiratory arrest and continued to perform advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without success, confirming his death.
The 1-1-2 emergency service immediately activated the necessary resources: the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) with a basic life support ambulance and a medicalized ambulance, Primary Care with the doctor and nurse from the Maspalomas health center , the Local Police also collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources, and the National Police guarded the body of the deceased man until the arrival of the judicial authority and carried out the corresponding proceedings.
