Gran Canaria Canaria Walking Festival takes an audiovisual tour of the impressive landscapes that hikers were able to travel through in the last edition of the event.
The Gran Canaria Natural & Active Association, organizer of the Gran Canaria international hiking festival “Gran Canaria Walking Festival”, has released the promotional video of the last edition of the event held from October 27 to 30, 2022 and which brought together more hikers of 15 nationalities. Participants were able to explore the contrasts and corners of Gran Canaria through 4 different routes, from its spectacular interior to its impressive coast.
The video shows the hikers' journey through the natural spaces of Gran Canaria and the numerous sensations that can be experienced when traveling through them, through the natural elements that stand out in each of the 4 days, a contact with the purest essence of the island.
In addition to these natural enclaves, the island's charming spots also take center stage, offering the opportunity to immerse oneself in its stunning natural beauty while also exploring its culture, history, and local products. Among these are the rural accommodations where the lunches featuring local produce took place: the village of Tejeda, a spectacular setting that includes the Hotel Rural Fonda de La Tea ; the Casa Rural La Longuera de Tirajana in Santa Lucía de Tirajana; the Hotel Rural Las Longueras in the Agaete Valley; and the Hotel La Aldea Suites in La Aldea de San Nicolás.
This tour of several municipalities on the island is a sample of the countless landscapes that can be discovered in Gran Canaria along its great diversity of trails: the emblematic landscapes of Tejeda, the Agaete Valley, La Fortaleza and the Ingenio de Santa Lucía or the unforgettable journey to Guguy Beach, star in this experience to get to know that most unknown side of Gran Canaria.
The “Gran Canaria Walking Festival” which has the official sponsorship of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria through Turismo de Gran Canaria, the support of the town councils of Tejeda and Agaete, the Gran Canaria Wine Route, as well as the collaboration of water eco-friendly cardboard “Aqualy” distributed by Pricemesa of the Fedola Group.
