PP-AV pulls together, but leaves the candidacy for SBT in the air

 

Marco Aurelio, Elena Álamo and the candidates for the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and the presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands, Miguel Jorge and Manuel Domínguez, spoke at the traditional meeting held by the Neighborhood Association with their supporters.

 

Although the appointment of the candidate who will stand up to the quadripartite led by Conchi Narváez was awaited with great expectation, none of those present confirmed who would be the candidate that PP-AV would present in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. “Manuel Domínguez for the Government, Miguel Jorge for the Cabildo and all of us for San Bartolomé de Tirajana” Marcus Aurelius exclaimed to those present, who responded with resounding applause.

 

 

“The desire for 2023 is an absolute majority,” said Marco Aurelio in reference to the elections in May next year. The appearances of Marco Aurelio, Elena and the popular candidates were in the same direction: that of trying to sweep the 2023 elections and nominate both the PP as the first political force at the regional and island level and the PP-AV at the regional level.

 

The recent controversy over the “Luxury Congress” held in San Bartolomé de Tirajana and which placed the municipality in the national spotlight did not pass by during the celebration of the popular and Neighborhood Association, Marco Aurelio himself assured that “they are not here for Moët, but to work” in reference to one of the drinks served during said celebration.

 

That was not the only criticism of the current government team of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, the neglect of the municipality's infrastructure and its tourist areas was also a recurring theme between Elena Álamo and Marco Aurelio.

 

For their part, the candidates Manuel Domínguez and Miguel Jorge alluded to the brotherhood that exists within the party and the air of change that is breathed, which encourages us to think about a result that is broadly favorable to the popular group in the different institutions facing to the May elections.

 

 

Together with half a thousand supporters and in a family and close environment, AV-PP celebrated Christmas and took pride in the elections that will be held in six months; But the candidate did not announce that, if he reaches the majority, he will implement all the projects and improvement plans that the group claims to have in mind to improve the future of the Tirajan municipality and its inhabitants.
