The Canarian Coalition (CC) in the south of Gran Canaria has asked the Parliament of the Canary Islands to give it information on the budget execution of the Playa del Pirata, Playa del Águila, San Bartolomé de Tirajana staircase rehabilitation work. Since last summer, the public company Gestur Canarias has had the green light from the Treasury Department of the Canary Islands Government to put out to tender the rehabilitation of the Águila beach promenade and the entrance stairs to Pirata beach.

The Treasury Intervention had reported unfavorably on April 18 about the file for approval of the expenditure for the contracting of these works, which represent a total investment of 1,1 million euros, which were finally corrected last May. The financing of the action is covered on a multi-year basis since 607.356 euros are included in the expenditure of the Tourism Infrastructure department this year, and the other 538.877 euros in those of 2023.
