San Roque University Hospitals, only private hospital in Gran Canaria and in the Top 5 of the Canary Islands ranking, according to the latest Hospital Excellence Index (IEH), published by the Coordinated Institute of Governance and Applied Economics.
The Canarian health centers highlighted by this indicator at the regional level are:
- On the island of Gran Canaria: the Dr. Negrín University Hospital and San Roque University Hospitals.
- And on the island of Tenerife: Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, the Canary Islands University Hospital and the Quirónsalud Tenerife Hospital.
The Hospital Excellence Index of the Coordinates Institute of Governance and Applied Economics understands excellence as the sum of quality of care, hospital service, well-being and patient satisfaction, innovative capacity, personalized attention y resource efficiency; betting on the quality and sustainability of a universal health system. An analysis set of hospital centers, both public and private, prepared through surveys of nearly 2.000 health professionals throughout Spain, based on the results and perceptions of the professionals who work in them.
