The Canarian construction company Opincan, based in Santa Lucía de Tirajana and which was awarded energy supply works in El Tablero de Maspalomas, has recently joined the list of companies in bankruptcy. Thus, Opincan was declared in voluntary bankruptcy on November 15 by the Commercial Court number 3 of Las Palmas. The Praxis Abogados y Economistas firm has been appointed bankruptcy administrator to manage the process.
The company specialized in both the execution of civil and residential works, and also provided engineering services. Opincan obtained a turnover of 11,88 million euros in 2019, with profits of 123.716 euros, according to its latest accounts available in the Commercial Registry.
In the same year, it had a liability of 5,20 million euros, of which 4,78 million euros fell due in the short term and of this 2,12 million euros corresponded to its credit institutions. Meanwhile, it had own funds of 339.799 euros. Also in 2019, it employed 134 workers.
