Two injured hikers rescued by the GES helicopter in Guguy

At around 14:42 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert informing them that a hiker had a possible fracture in her lower limb after having suffered a fall. so he could not continue the march.

 

A 51-year-old woman who, at the initial time of care, presented moderate trauma to the lower limb. Once the victim has been located, the GES helicopter rescuers receive, at the scene of the incident, a new notice informing them that there is another injured woman with a possible fracture in the lower limb a little further down. The second woman, 40 years old, who, at the initial time of assistance, also had a moderate trauma to her lower limb.

 

After rescuing the first victim, the GES helicopter heads to the place where the second injured woman was and also proceeds to rescue her.

Once immobilized, both victims were evacuated to the helisurface of the Doctor Negrín University Hospital. There, a basic life support ambulance from the SUC was waiting for them, whose personnel attended to the injuries and transported them to the aforementioned hospital center.

 

1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. THE Emergency and Rescue Group (GES), a rescue helicopter and the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) with a basic life support ambulance.
