The owner of Servatur, second fortune already in Norway

The owner of 50% of Servatur, the Nordic hotel chain established in the south of Gran Canaria, Ivar Tollefsen, has already established himself as the second largest fortune in Norway with 5.400 billion euros. It has just become known that he has bought a nine-hectare property in Mallorca for 61 million euros.

But in the south of Gran Canaria there are other Nordic companies with a lot of money operating. This is the case of Odd Reitan and family, Kjell Inge Rokke, Torstein Hagen or Katharina Andresen, who has a personal fortune of 1.200 billion euros. In the case of the 50% partner of Servatur Ivar Tollefsen has purchased the Fortalesa estate, in Port de Pollença, for around 61,8 million euros from the British investment fund led by James Lupton.

In 2020, the company Fredensborg, owned by Norwegian businessman Ivar Tollefsen, acquired 50 percent of the shares in the hotel company Servatur, which then managed 13 tourist establishments in Gran Canaria. Tollefsen thus became the reference partner of Kai-Robert Mikaelsen, who bought the Canarian tourism company seven years ago and will now maintain the remaining 50% of the share capital. To date, Servatur Hotels & Resorts has focused its activity on the island of Gran Canaria, where it is the first external supplier of beds for the Nordic tour operator Ving in the Canary Islands.
