Arrested after threatening his partner in Agüimes with a katana

 

 

 

 

The Civil Guard has arrested a man reported for a crime of mistreatment. The detainee's partner filed a complaint at the Agüimes Main Post alleging that she had been threatened with death in the middle of the street with a katana.

 

 

The detainee even published a photo of the complainant on social networks, offering 4000 euros to anyone who gave him information about her whereabouts. After the complaint, the protocol for action in situations of extreme violence was initiated, so the detainee's partner was placed in police custody.

 

 

 

 

 

After the search, the police device deployed located the detainee in Telde, barricaded in a family home armed with a machete, which forced them to go to the Negotiating Team of the Las Palmas Command. After several hours of negotiation, the aggressor surrendered; thus proceeding to arrest him and placing him at the disposal of the Violence Against Women Court No. 2 of Telde, where his imprisonment was ordered.
