The current Corporate Development Director of San Roque University Hospitals and Manager of the hospital in Maspalomas, Sebastián Sansó, is named the new president of the Spaincares organization, after being presented as a candidate by the employers' association. Spanish Private Health Alliance (ASPE).
Spaincares is a strategic alliance of the tourism and health sectors in Spain, created to offer the best health services while enjoying unbeatable tourist infrastructure. More than 50 hospitals, spas, dependency centers where you can undergo medical treatment or intervention, and hotels where you can stay are part of this alliance.

The new president has extensive experience in the sector, and assumes this role with “excitement and motivation”, knowing the challenges he faces and “having clear Spaincares priorities”. Furthermore, he highlights the importance of health tourism, stating that “we cannot forget that we are in a moment of opportunity after a few turbulent years due to Covid-19 and that this cluster has the challenge of continuing to be a benchmark in this area.” . The new president considers it “necessary to have the support of public administrations”, especially to “ensure that health tourism can be greatly promoted in our country”, which “has not been achieved to date”.
