Gran Canaria Swim Week will carry out a series of actions at Copenhagen Fashion Week as part of its internationalization strategy.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, together with the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, has presented the promotion plan that Gran Canaria Swim Week will carry out at Copenhagen Fashion Week during 2023.

The actions will begin on January 31 and will last until February 3, during the first edition of the fashion week in the Nordic country where Gran Canaria Swim Week will be present virtually and where island representatives will close the presence of the island in August, where Gran Canaria is scheduled to be present during the second annual edition of Fashion Week with parades and various promotional events held in situ.

The promotional events that will begin at the end of this month of January will consist of the brand's virtual presence at Danish Fashion Week. To do this, actions will be carried out such as presentation in the Hall from the official hotel of the Copenhagen Fashion Week of a promotional video of the Gran Canaria Swim Week, a powerful digital marketing campaign in which the brand will have a presence both in the newsletter and on the official website of the event, and also, a presence on networks social through collaborations with various Danish influencers who will show the garments of the Canarian designers. The strong point of this virtual campaign will be the appearance of a promotional spot before and after the live broadcast of the shows that will take place during fashion week in the Danish capital.

Copenhagen Fashion Week is a leading event in the field of international fashion, which will give Gran Canaria Swim Week a perfect showcase for countries such as the USA, South Korea, France and many others; thus achieving presence in leading publications in the world of fashion such as Vogue o Galleries Lafayette. During these days it will also be intended to close the physical presence of the island brand in the August edition, something that, as the island organizations assure, is fully on track. The figures for this set of actions will amount to a total of 23 million euros in terms of return on investment (ROI) and a projected reach of two million people.

The counselor Minerva Alonso has stated that this action is part of the internationalization plan that the Ministry set as its objective in 2015 and that it has carried out progressively, starting with an agreement with IFEMA for the organization of the catwalk and later with the support of the Chamber of Commerce. A plan that has already had a presence at Berlin Fashion Week, where the relationship established with the Fashion Council germano and other reference organizations in the European fashion scene; as well as participation in the fair Mare da mare, held in the Italian city of Florence.

In the presentation, emphasis was placed on the synergy between the Ministry and the Chamber of Commerce, a relationship that has made it possible to carry out all the necessary processes for the internationalization plan and the presence in a Fashion Week as relevant internationally as that of Copenhagen; city that from the prestigious publication Harper's Bazaar categorized as the new capital of fashion.
