Last morning on Friday, January 20, agents from the UPIR unit of the Local Police of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, during a routine control device at the confluence of Insular and Agaldar streets in the lower area of Vecindario, proceeded to give the stopped two young people who were driving a car whose driver was trying to maneuver the vehicle to avoid police control.
Faced with this situation, the police intervened immediately, stopping the occupants of the vehicle, whose driver could not avoid the strong police device and was forced to stop. At that moment the police observed that both the driver and his companion were clearly nervous and were trying to avoid the police intervention.
The police officers asked the two young occupants of the vehicle to get out of the car and thus proceed to identify them and carry out a superficial search. At that moment, the young man who was in the driver's passenger seat, in a clearly nervous and evasive attitude, , with his feet he was trying to hide a package under the seat of the vehicle. This action did not go unnoticed by the police, who located and managed to verify that the package contained about 500 grams of Cannabis distributed in 5 wrappers of 100 grams each.
The young people, once identified, were taken to the Local Police Station where the proceedings were carried out for an alleged crime against public health, and they were detained and placed at the disposal of the police.
