This January, the Government's Delegate Commission for Economic Affairs has granted 8 million in aid for the implementation of investment projects which, in the case of Gran Canaria, have gone to Servatur, RIU and a new brewery that will open in Arinaga to supply the south of the island.
Specifically, Servatur is going to invest 32,3 million euros in Mogán, of which 5,5 million euros are from regional incentives. RIU Hotels, for its part, has committed 25.107.890 euros to San Bartolomé de Tirajana, of which 3.012.946 euros come from direct official European aid. The company Nueva Cervecera Industrial Canaria is going to place 17,5 million euros in Arinaga, of which 6,1 million euros. The brewery is in the orbit of the Andalusian group Gran Vía and has executives from the real estate company Colonial and others who previously worked for Accenture and Deutsche Bank.
Through the regional incentives program, the Government has approved supporting 18 projects in the Canary Islands with subsidies totaling 35,14 million euros. This approval will make it possible to mobilize investments worth 158,46 million euros, with the creation of 238 jobs and the maintenance of another 1.507.
